Key findings
In our survey we found that consumers are avid users of their consumer gadgets and fairly satisfied with the items that they own. Items with functional benefits such as computers or mobile phones are fairly ubiquitous with at least 80 percent of households owning one or more each. Despite their utility, nearly two out of three consumers are still looking for that one device that will still simplify their lives. In addition, the affinity for consumer gadgets does not overshadow the need for traditional household items such as refrigerators or cars.
