  • New Chengdu office adds to operations in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou
  • H&K celebrates 25 years in mainland China

Leading international communications consultancy Hill & Knowlton has opened an office in Chengdu, capital of the Sichuan province in Western China, adding to its existing operations in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. This year H&K celebrates a quarter of a century of operating in mainland China.

James B. Heimowitz, President and CEO, H&K North Asia, said: “Chinese companies are seeking international expertise and counsel, and we are responding. H&K is committed to expanding its presence across China by opening offices in Chengdu and other provincial centers such as Jinan, Nanjing, Shenyang and Wuhan, where we already have the capability to work with clients.”

Benjamin Tan, Senior Vice President, H&K China commented: “Chengdu is one of Western China’s most rapidly developing economic centers and our clients in this region require a communications partner who can provide global best practice. Our Western clients also appreciate our ability to develop and execute regional as well as national communications strategies within China.”

This latest office opening represents the next phase of an aggressive pan-China strategy for Hill & Knowlton, which has long-established operations in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. H&K has been in Hong Kong since 1962 and mainland China since 1984.
