Jane Savidant to assume Alberta General Manager Position; Tonie Chaltas to focus on role as Chief Integration Officer

Press Release: Jan 28, 2008

CALGARY - In response to the growth of its Alberta and national business, Hill & Knowlton Canada today announced senior management changes for its national public affairs practice and Alberta offices.

Ken Boessenkool, previously vice president and general manager of Alberta, was promoted to senior vice president and national practice director, public affairs. He will now join the firm’s senior management team, the priorities and operations committee, as its Western Canadian representative.

Under Boessenkool’s management, the Alberta offices grew to more than 20 professionals, including the integration of financial communications company H&K Result.

Jane Savidant, founder of Result (now H&K Result), has agreed to bring her management experience to the Alberta offices of Calgary and Edmonton, taking on the general manager position.

Tonie Chaltas, who has been managing the dual responsibilities of national practice director, public affairs and chief integration officer, will now be able to focus exclusively on continuing her success as integration officer. In this role, Chaltas is responsible for continually driving attention and execution on the firm’s “best teams” philosophy, which includes leading business planning, integration, and other critical management operations.

“The success of both the Alberta offices, and the country, are increasing the need to have senior staff focusing on our clients, our talented staff, and our business,” said Mike Coates, president and CEO of Hill & Knowlton Canada. “It’s a wonderful thing that growth creates opportunity for such talented people.”
